April 29th-30th in Smith and Gore Halls
Our Hackathon
HenHacks is a beginner-friendly hackathon hosted on the University of Delaware's campus for all college students of any major. Our goal is to help develop and enhance students' technical skills to prepare them to be competitive applicants in technology related careers.
The in-person event will take place on April 29-30th in Smith and Gore Halls at UD. Join us for a weekend of project-building, workshops, and networking with our sponsors!
2023 Theme: Giving Back to Delaware!
To kick off with our very first event, we want participants to think about giving back to Delaware communities. We want you to get creative! This can be as broad or as specific as you want - the only requirement is that it must address something local to the first state!

COVID-19 Guidelines
As our event will be taking place on University of Delaware's campus grounds and will be comprised mostly of UD students, we are to comply with the rules and regulations set in place by the university. As of an email sent out to students and faculty on February 1st, 2023, the guidelines are as follows:
Masking: Masks are not required in most indoor settings on campus, except healthcare and clinical settings. This means that HenHacks attendees can make their own personal decision about whether to wear a mask or not.
Vaccinations: All UD students must receive a COVID-19 primary vaccine series plus one booster when eligible. We will not be checking the status of vaccinations, as the majority of Delaware students, whether attendants from UD, Del tech, or DSU, should be up to date on their vaccines.
If you test positive for covid-19: You must isolate yourself for five days, then wear a mask for five additional days as symptoms improve. This means do not attend HenHacks with a positive test. If someone on your team tests positive for covid, we may be able to accommodate that person hacking remotely.
